So very sad!  Laurie fought a battle with a rare cancer, but fought to the end.  Her kind, artistic soul will be greatly missed.  RIP

Laurie and I were solid friends.  We stayed in regular contact over all these years. Laurie had a well tuned ear for listening and a remarkable eye for painting nature in beautiful pastel colors.  I share the comment that she was a deeply warm and totally genuine person.  Laurie held on to a remarkably positive outlook to the end, true to her strength of character, Rest in peace.
